As a fully Inclusive Centre, Shadwell Basin OAC is committed to providing the opportunity for outdoor adventurous activities to everyone.
During all School holidays, excluding Christmas, we run integrated activities for young people aged 9-18. All young people must be able to swim to attend these sessions.
We specialise in working with young people with autism and have developed teaching techniques to support their needs. It is our aim to support all young people together using outdoor adventurous activities to develop confidence and independence as well as making new friends and learning new skills.
We run supported and integrated youth club activities during holiday projects on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. Anyone who needs extra support must first attend a show round evening to reserve their place.
This is an opportunity for young people and their families to meet each other, familiarise themselves by taking a tour around our Centre and see our facilities, fill out consent forms and ask lots of questions.
All other siblings aged 9-18 are welcome to attend the holiday youth club activities although spaces cannot be reserved for them and they may not necessarily be in the same supported group.
We offer safe and fun sessions in a variety of activities including; Canoeing, Kayaking, Sailing, High Ropes and Climbing.
